ODK Data
ODK (Open Data Kit) is the method used to collect data for bridge inspections. This data is stored in the BAMS (Bridge Asset Management System) hosted by SirWay.
Bridge inspections were conducted using ODK from 2018 to 2025. Photos for this round are saved in:
- BAMS by SirWay: download the file "BAMS_FINNOC_Bridge Inspection.zip", and open the "media" folder.
ODK data before and including 2024 is currently stored in the AWM system (as at 22/01/2026), and is undergoing validation.
ODK data for the 2025 bridge inspection is in the process of being stored in AWM (as at 22/01/2026).
Validation
Validation steps for the ODK data before and including 2024 is presented below:
- Validation of "ODK to Bridge Linking" records:
- ODK to AWM validation workflow (exclude no linkage).pdf
- If an "ODK to Bridge Linking" record is not attached to an AWM Bridge, follow the steps in the section "Check for multiple ODK to Bridge Linking records under one ud_bridge record"
Tracking the task
The task is complete when
- All points displayed in the map layer "ODK to Bridge Link - Clear to Import and Import Yes" are blue.
- All "ODK to Bridge Linking" records is attached to an AWM Bridge
The map layer can be opened by loading the Map Layer Package "[ODK] Review Data to Import 2".
